Cute Care Bears

The cute, cuddly Care Bears are born from images of stars, rainbows, hearts, clovers and clouds. Though already named the "Care Bears," American Greetings and its partners use the code name "Project II" to keep their development under wraps! In 1983, the first ten original Care Bears officially introduced themselves in cards, toys and entertainment. They are: Tenderheart Bear, Birthday Bear, Good Luck Bear, Friend Bear, Bedtime Bear, Grumpy Bear, Wish Bear, Funshine Bear, Cheer Bear, and Love-a-lot Bear. The bear's first TV special, The Care Bears in the Land Without Feelings, is broadcast nationwide! My Care Bears Collection!

The Care Bears are a group of adorable, furry friends each with a special caring mission. They help teach people how to care. Every Care Bear wears a bright-colored tummy picture that tells the world who they are and what is their special area of caring. In their cloud-land home, called Care-a-lot, the Care Bears help each other learn to care. Sometimes they magically bring a child with a special caring concern to Care-a-lot so that they can better teach them some of the finer points of being a caring person. Sometimes, too, the Care Bears have to speed down to Earth to help with some crisis in caring. Wherever the Care Bears go, and whatever the Care Bears do, in their soft, fuzzy, and funny way, they share their special gift of caring with everyone they meet.

Wherever good feelings are nurtured and shared! Care-a-lot is where the Care Bears live. It's a star-speckled, rainbow-trimmed, cotton candy, cloud world that's as brightly beautiful as a summer sunset and as snug and loving as a mother's hug. Care-a-lot is a child's weightless wonderland—a "positively anything's possible" kind of place and a perfect playland. In the heart of Care-a-lot is Care-a-lot Castle, where the Care Bears gather to help others. It's home to the "Hall of the Heart", a beautiful gallery where the Care Bears meet around a heart-shaped table. Where's Care-a-lot? It's here, it's there, it's everywhere there are hearts that love and those who care!

There's a very cute and slightly shy little guy whose name is Bashful Heart Bear. He's the bear who shows that you don't have to talk a lot to be extra nice. His tummy symbol quietly tells his story. It's a heart timidly hidden behind a cloud. Caring Mission: He shows that it's okay to be shy. Symbol: A heart shyly peeking from behind a cloud. Personality: Shy, lovable and very soft-spoken. Bedtime Bear stays up nights. He's the special bear who helps people get a good night's sleep and makes sure that they have sweet dreams. There's no better bear buddy for a goodnight hug. Bedtime has a symbol that says what he's all about - a sleepy-faced moon. Caring Mission: Helps people sleep. Symbol: His crescent moon symbol represents his nighttime mission. Personality: Brave and alert (at night). Character Quirk: During the day, he's always confused or dozing off. Color: Blue. Champ Care Bear is a real sports star. He's great at every sport, but he's even better at sharing the real prizes of sports-fun, fitness, friendship and learning to be your best. He even shows this with his symbol - a golden trophy with star. Caring Mission: Teaches people sportsmanship. Symbol: His golden trophy symbol shows that you always win when you're a good sport. Cheer Bear is a very happy Care Bear who helps others see the bright side of life. She will sometimes even do a cheer to help make someone happier. Daydream Bear loves playing pretend. She shows how important imagination is for everyone. But with her funny little accidents, she also shows that it's important to pay attention, too. Do-Your-Best Bear is a Care Bear who dreams big and never gives up. Like his name says, he helps others put their best into everything they do. He's an upbeat bear who's always ready to say, "Great job!" His "aim high" attitude shows in his tummy symbol - a beautiful kite. Caring Mission: Helps people be the best they can. Symbol: Do-Your-Best Bear's colorful kite symbol reminds every one that the sky's the limit when you give your best. Personality: Energetic and confident. Funshine Bear is the Care Bear's class clown. This playful bear really knows how to be funny and to have fun. Funshine Bear works hard to make sure that people have a good time.
